I’m sitting at Davinci’s, and realized I haven’t posted this. I am moving next week. Basically. But here’s the story.
Brandon Estelle, the drummer for superchick, has a band called Starlit Platoon. The drummer in that band is leaving. And a long time ago, or a year and a half, SP and my old band, Regaining Jerusalem, played a show together. We sucked!!! We did pretty terrible, so i didn’t make a very good impression. But we hung out, and they were some really cool dudes.
Later on down the road, we went and watched them play in Wichita with Raven Symone. They opened for them. We hung out after the concert, and he said I should try out for some bands. I laughed, but later i asked him to keep an eye out for bands to try out for.
He heard me play a month later, at church practice, and got a better impression of me.
Then, a month or so after that, he called and asked if i wanted to try out for his band. I said yes. A try out happened and i made it. My first show is January 2nd. I’m super excited, and nervous at the same time.
